Hello fans to craft, I present for consideration a simple and useful homemade. It will be a small miter saw, with it you can easily cut plastic plumbing pipes, plywood, boards, wood blocks and other material. Such a saw will be very useful for fans to craft something on a small scale, the saw is easy to use, safe, and it can also be mobile, since the motor here works from a voltage of 12-24V.
The engine here is used the legendary, model 775, which has long won its trust in the manufacture of a variety of homemade machines. There is a forced cooling system, the rotor rotates on ball bearings, thanks to this the motor has a long service life and can withstand considerable loads. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. We prepare materials
As the basis for the machine, you can use plywood, MDF, or just a thick and wide board. In the board you need to cut out the grooves for the vertical posts, they will be glued into these grooves. We cut out the grooves with a hacksaw and then knock out the pieces with a chisel.
As for the racks, for this we cut two identical pieces from the bar, in them we designate the holes for the axis on which the lever with the fixed motor will turn. This movable lever is also made of bar.
Step Two Assembly of the main part
Now you can assemble the main part of the machine, glue the vertical posts into the grooves of the base and additionally fix them with nails or self-tapping screws.
Next, in the upper part of the racks on the axis in the form of a bolt, we install a movable lever. That's all, now it remains to install the motor, here we need a mounting bracket, this can be bought specifically for this model of engine.
We drill holes and fasten the fasteners with screws. To fasten the fasteners with all four screws, the author glued another piece of the bar.
We install the M10 adapter on the axis of the engine, this is an adapter, with the help of which it is now possible to install a 4-inch circular cutting disc from the circular motor.
Step Three Finishing touches and tests
Finally, install a return spring that will lift the engine to its original position.
Well, for convenient safe use of the machine, install a button in the handle that will turn on the engine while holding it down. Under the button, the author drilled a hole with a step drill. It is useful to make a protective shield so that the face does not fly sawdust, for this you can cut off the bottom from a plastic canister, like the author's. But it is better, of course, to make a shield of metal.
We paint the wooden parts, so the homemade product will last longer, and everything will look good. We collect homemade and test.
The 775 engine is able to operate on 12V-24V, but when powered at 24V, it runs to the limit of its capabilities, and 12V may not be enough. The author sets the voltage to 18V, so the engine runs under moderate load and completely copes with its tasks.
The saw works perfectly, the tool is useful and safe, unless, of course, fingers are inserted under the disk. In addition, the noise level here will be low, so you can work in the apartment.
