Hello fans to craft, in this instruction we will consider a method of manufacturing a box for sandblasting. Sandblasting allows you to quickly and simply make various parts like new ones, clean the metal from rust, old paint, oxide and so on. Similarly, work can be done with wood and other materials. For sandblasting you need a box so that the sand does not fly in all directions, including at you. In addition, thanks to boxing, sand can be collected in a container and then used more than once. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Box making
Let's start directly from the box, to begin with, we disassemble the refrigerator, you need to remove all the plastic, insulation, and so on, in the end only a metal box should remain.
Next, we remove the door and cut out a window in it, a glass will be installed here, through which we will observe the process of work. We also need to weld “triangles” of sheet metal to the door so that it is on the box at an angle, so it will be easier to work. For welding, the author uses gas welding, since the metal here is quite thin and a conventional welding inverter will burn it, and tightness is important to us.
Now we proceed to the back wall, cut it as the author in the photo, and then weld so that we get a sleeve. All sand and garbage will be poured here. The author of the metal was not enough, and he cut a piece from the car door.
Step Two The foundation
We will weld the base for the hopper, here we need fittings - this is the cheapest and most affordable material, profile pipes are also suitable. We weld a reliable frame to install a hopper on it.
Step Three Gloves
The work will be carried out with his hands in the hopper, so we need to make two holes for the hands. The author made holes according to the diameter of his plastic buckets, they are cut and inserted into the holes, and gloves are already attached to these pipes. The holes were cut with a flick of the wrist using gas welding.
Step Four Finalization of the cover
We will finalize the cover, we will fasten it on the door hinges. We also need to install glass, we make a frame of thin corners of steel or aluminum. With this frame, we simply press the glass against the door using self-tapping screws.
Step Five Lattice
Inside the box there is a grill, on which we will put the product. We assemble a frame from the reinforcement under it, and then we weld on or welded the grate from above.
Step Six Painting and assembly
Boxing is ready, you can paint and assemble it. After installing gloves and a cartridge with a light bulb, you can begin to work. Now the work is not dusty and comfortable.
