Aircraft model "Fang-2" on the project AlIS-4


Good afternoon, dear friends, aircraft modellers!
After the first model Alis-4 project “Fang”, another aircraft model was launched on February 23
Alice - 5 "Fang-2."

We must immediately make a reservation that despite the close names, the models themselves are very different from each other both in their silhouette and design.

When creating this aircraft model, I set myself two main tasks:
1. Create a lightweight model for two impellers ADH300L 5800 rev. Volt with total traction - 960 g.
2. Try out a new, unusual design of the model, in which the air intakes form the upper and lower wing layers.
Two projects of Sergey Alexandrov Al - 609 Dominator and
S - 59 “Killer Whale”.
The main dimensions of the aircraft model.
Length - 1160 mm.
Span - 880 mm.

The whole structure is assembled from a simple substrate under the Laminate, 5 mm thick.
Glue used - moisture resistant, universal "CIN".

First, he built a pipe from the substrate, or rather a cylinder with round liners inside for stiffness.
Then he cut this workpiece into three parts, fixed it on the lower plane of the wing.


He made blanks for the nose of the fuselage and pasted the cockpit light. The lantern, as usual, was cut out of a plastic bottle. The pilot's figure is made of cardboard and painted with a black felt-tip pen.


After pasting the nose of the fuselage mounted the upper plane of the wing. I fixed everything with masking tape until the glue completely dries.




Before mounting the upper wing plane, impellers and electronics are assembled.



























In the upper plane of the wing made a long hatch for access to electronics, which is closed from above with a false panel.


I start the local covering of the model with colored tape.
I make inscriptions and drawings.

He prepared keels that are glued from two layers of the substrate.
A carbon tube is glued along the trailing edge of the wing, to which the elevons are additionally attached.
At the elevons, he made a semblance of an all-perspective OBT.




Mounted servos, pasted boars, connected rods.

Last minutes on the slipway.




For mounting the chassis, glued plate of hardboard (fiberboard), size 40 X 50 mm. Put the chassis in place.
This is how the model stands on its “feet”.






The work is completed. You can proceed to the tests. I have completed the tasks set for myself. The design is interesting and durable. The total weight of the entire model did not exceed 860 g.
