Hello everyone, today we will consider the idea of one interesting lamp. The lamp is made in an industrial style, it is mounted on a water pipe and looks pretty interesting. The ceiling itself has a long oval shape, and wood is used as the material. Surprisingly, when the lamp is turned on, the tree shines through and it looks magical. It is not difficult to assemble such a lamp, and there are not so many materials, but you need to be patient. The manufacturing process of the lamp:
Step one. Making luminous wood
To begin with, we’ll make the same mysterious wood that will be visible. There is no special secret, the wood just has to be very thin. We select a suitable whetstone, clamp it in a vice and remove a chip of the required thickness with a planer. Efforts here will be needed quite large so that the workpiece does not slip in a vice, he glued skin to the lips of a vice.
Next, carefully unwind the chips and stick it on paper or any other similar material. It must be ensured that large gaps and non-sticky spots are obtained, otherwise there will be light spots on the lamp.
Step Two The manufacture of the "frame"
We make the so-called frame for the lamp, everything will be supported on it, here we will need plywood as a material. We cut out the base, as well as the lower part of the ceiling, both parts must be the same.
In one of the details, the author cuts the core, this will be the lower part, here you need to insert plexiglass.We also cut plexiglas of suitable sizes and shapes.
On the part that will be on top of the lampshade, we install wooden racks, even a beam will do, we fasten them with screws. The base can be glued LED strip. Solder the wires to the tape and the lamp is ready for assembly.
Step Three Lamp assembly
We assemble the lamp, for this we fasten one part of the frame to another, plexiglas are glued to plywood with temporary glue. In the upper part of the plafond we drill a hole and draw the wires, the wiring will pass inside the pipe, which is screwed to the plafond.
Next, there will be a painstaking process, you need to glue the lamp with our luminous wood, made earlier. First you need to glue thin sheet plastic into the ceiling, and already on it we will stick luminous wood. The author uses hot glue as glue.
When everything is ready, plexiglass can be removed and peel the glue with which it was glued. Now we will only be self-tapping screws to the racks.
We cut off the excess, now we have to make the edging of the ceiling to hide the joints. Here we need thin long boards, glue them on hot glue all over the contour. As for the bends at the edges of the lampshade, for them you need to cut individual parts from boards or sheet material. For work, the author used a tape cutting machine, a belt grinder, and an orbital grinder. “Luminous wood” can be varnished, so the material will become stronger and more durable.
Step Four Installation
The lamp can be installed, first we fix the iron pipe in the right place, well, then install the lamp on this pipe. We carry out the wiring inside the lamp, and then on to the switch. The lamp is assembled and ready for testing. In the off state, it looks like a hanging wooden box, but when you turn on the lamp, the wood begins to shine through and everything looks very interesting. It’s quite light under the lamp, the author reads and writes easily under such a lamp.
