Geobord is good for the game and for the development of children from 1.5 to 7 years. It well strengthens fingers, develops coordination of movements. Especially this game will be useful for the development of fine motor skills, perfectly fulfills perseverance in hyperactive children, and relieves stress.
This toy can even be made at home using the simplest tools. The author took advantage of those that he has in the workshop.

Manufacturing process.
To begin with, the author purchased a processed board for 90 rubles. Initially, this board was 300x400 mm in size. The author cut it to a square 300X300. The thickness of this board is 20 mm.
At this stage, the author needs to put a certain markup on the workpiece. And he decided to use this method - he took a paper sheet, and simply wrapped this detail.
Then he made the marking on it for further drilling. This is done so that the stripes and dashes do not remain on the board itself.
Now at the intersection of lines drills holes. A small addition to drilling - perfect vertical drilling by hand is actually very difficult. It is advisable to use a drilling machine, or make a stand for vertical drilling with a screwdriver. About this rack is described in this article.
In order to give the workpiece an aesthetic appearance, the master processes the edges using a hand milling cutter.
And then it processes all surfaces with an orbital sander.
The base for the toy is ready.
The master decided to impregnate this product with the usual simplest tinting impregnation for wood on an acrylic basis. She does not emit any unpleasant chemical odors. It turns out a beautiful saturated color.On the packaging of the impregnation it is written that it is the color of the rosewood. Additionally, you can soak in wax.
Then he shortened the rivet leg to 10 mm with metal scissors.
At this stage, drilling irregularities began to appear. When driving rivets, it can be seen that the angle did not always turn out strictly 90 degrees. The master then had to tap the rivets with a hammer, and some to level with pliers.
In this article, of course, super verticality and accuracy of installation of rivets are not required.
Now you see the finished version. For the game you will need stationery erasers, small balls. So it turns out the game in the "maze".
