Grinder from an old washer

Friends, hello everyone again. I am very glad and pleased that you are watching my homemade)
This time I want to tell you a little and show you my next homemade in garage, which I did back in the month of January and have already managed to use it many times, to be honest, I am very pleased with the homemade product. The old washer turned up for free to me, so I decided to build something out of it, namely, a grinding machine, an old German washer, so it was ideally suited for this homemade undertaking. And it came up precisely because the back of the tank is made of cast iron, and not of plastic, like modern ones. This bottom part of the drum is visible in the photo below, this cast iron was screwed to the stainless steel tank itself, and in this piece of cast iron a seat for the shaft bearing, the shaft itself with the crosspiece is already bolted to the drum.

Let's see the process of making homemade video:

Materials and tools:
- a washer;
- welding;
- grinder;
- screwdriver;
- plywood 10mm;
- self-tapping screws;
- sandpaper;
- screwdrivers;
- jigsaw;
- table;

So, I took apart the washer and screwed this cast-iron stove to the table

At the bottom of the table, I installed the engine coaxially with the drum pulley, the distance from the engine to the pulley was chosen just by the size of my native belt, so I did not have to invent anything)

Further along the diameter of the drum I cut 10 mm plywood and glued it in three layers.

when the glue has dried, additionally all three layers are fastened with self-tapping screws. cut a circle from the workpiece and secured it to the cross with bolts and screws. And on the engine turned on, at the speed with the help of the turbine, I rubbed the circle so that everything would be smooth and even.

then pasted on 88 glue sandpaper on a fabric basis to the drum, waited a day until the glue dries and rushed to grind and sand all that came to hand in my garage))))

Friends, I am always open for dialogue, I will be very glad to talk about homemade products with you.
