Automatic egg flipping device


In this article, we will consider how the Master made a device for automatically turning eggs. Poultry farmers know that when laying eggs in an incubator, they must be rotated periodically. This is necessary so that the membrane does not stick to the shell. In nature, the chicken does this, and in artificial conditions, a person has to turn eggs.

Tools and materials:
-Roulette;
-Marker;
-Wooden bar;
-A screwdriver;
-Polypropylene pipe;
- Plugs are polypropylene;

-Metal perforated corner;
- Hacksaw for metal;
-Motor reducer;

Step One: Frame
To make the frame, you need two 50 cm bars and two 30 cm. In long bars at an equal distance, 11 coaxial holes are drilled.

Step Two: Extra Bars
Shafts will be installed inside the frame. So that, during rotation, the shafts do not cling to the bottom of the incubator, the master sets the same additionally for short bars.








Step Three: Shafts
The shafts are made of PVC pipe. At the ends of the pipes are installed covers. In the covers, on both sides, the master drills holes. Installs bolts in the holes and fixes them with nuts. A total of 11 shafts are needed.














Step Four: Traction
For simultaneous rotation of all shafts, they must be connected by rods. The master made the rods by cutting the perforated metal corners into two parts. Each half has two holes. Rods need 11 in the number of shafts.














Step Five: Install Shafts
Sets the shafts to the frame.












Step Six: Drive Assembly
On the shafts, on the one hand, secures traction. Installs bolts in the second hole of the rods. All rods are connected with a wooden rail with holes.
















Seventh step: gear motor
To bring the shafts into motion, the master uses a gear motor. A piece of PVC pipe is installed on the gear shaft.






Marks a cut place on one of the shafts and dismantles the shaft.








Cuts the shaft according to the mark.


Inserts the shaft into the tube on the gearmotor.




Step Eight: Mounting the Gear Motor
The gear motor is attached to the frame using a wooden block. Fastens the bar to the frame.









Screws the gear motor to the bar.





Now you need to connect the gearmotor to the power source and the egg flipping device is ready. First, the master conducts the tests by placing a piece of board and a tool on the shafts.


Then he places the eggs on the tray.


Everything works great. The device can be placed in an incubator and connected to a timer.
