Motoblock with electric panel with a solar panel


Greetings to fans of craftsmanship, today we will consider a type of technique such as an electric traction unit. Of course, such a walk-behind tractor is unlikely to be plowed, but transporting something without special problems. The machine easily pulls a load in the region of 150 kg and this is not the limit, and if you put a little motor more powerful, you can carry quite decent weights. At first the walk-behind tractor just drove on the battery, but then the author equipped the car with a solar panel as well, as a result homemade It also charges itself. Materials and tools used by the author:

Material List:

- lead battery (it is better to switch to lithium);
- speed control for the engine;

- together with electronics for charging the battery;
- profile pipes, iron plates, etc. for the frame;
- wheels from a bicycle, chain;
- junction box.

The process of manufacturing a walk-behind tractor:

Step one. Frame
We assemble the frame for the motoblock, its main part is made of profile pipes, just cut them into pieces and weld into a rectangle. Now the author fastens bicycle wheels to the frame, he simply welds their axles on one side. This option is not reliable, so it is better to try and make forks for wheels.





Step Two Drawbar and steering wheel
We make a draw, here we need an iron pipe and profile pipes, of which we make a draw. We also make a steering wheel out of pipes, directly as a working body you can adapt the steering wheel from a bicycle. The drawbar is welded to the frame, having previously welded two iron plates to the frame.

Among other things, we need to make a mount for the battery and engine.










Step Three Painting and assembly
We clean the welds well and paint the structure so that it does not rust. Now you can assemble the walk-behind tractor. We install the gear motor, the drive is carried out on the sprocket of the drive wheel. The chain is shortened to the desired length.

We also securely attach the battery to the frame.The machine needs speed adjustment, so we set the regulator for the brush motor, and so that it does not get wet and dirty, we hide it in the junction box. It remains to conduct wiring and the walk-behind tractor is ready.
The author attaches an improvised to the motoblock trailer and it’s quite easy to drive.













After some time, the design was improved, everything was strengthened, and the author installed a solar panel, from which the batteries are charged. Now part of the energy will be compensated, and the batteries will need to be charged rarely, or they will not need to be charged at all.

I doubt however! Judging by the photo, the car battery is at least 75Ah, and the socket is at most 20 watts! And daylight in those latitudes is not like that of the Chukchi! smile
I will not prove anything. But I use panels for recharging (recharge), and not for consumption directly. I switch the cottage to autonomy when it is light.
Theoretically, of course, it’s possible to charge a week, and then drive a couple of hours, but how acceptable is that?
All sorts, but not to pull the walk-behind tractor. In cars for traveling from solar energy, they cover the SB the entire upper surface, and the cars themselves make them as light, low and aerodynamic as possible. However, they do not plow or pull. And here is one miserable socket for a few watts? Come on, prove that it is! )))
