Manufacturing process.
Such a camshaft is very convenient for making a floor lamp stand. It has an internal oil channel, and a wire will pass through it covertly.
For the reason that all the parts are old and dirty, the master processes them with a sandblasting machine. You can also clean surfaces with a grinder with a brush disc.
An oil plug is installed on the second side of the camshaft. The author makes a cut for the wire. This will be the top of the rack.
The back of the pulley also makes a cutout for the wire.
Then welds the camshaft to the pulley
To fix the lid, it grips by welding at four points. The loads are small, and a thin cover can be burned.
The bottom of the lid and the stand is painted silver, and the stand and the top of the lid are painted black.
So, the basic design is ready.
The author came up with an original mount for cartridges. These are ordinary plumbing clamps. He screws them through the standard openings to the lid, and fixes the cartridges in them.
Then passes the wire through the rack.
Now he installed the switch, and connected the power circuit. The master switch used a cord type.
The fabric braided power cable is also a design-friendly one.
It remains to complete the manufacture of the lampshade. To do this, the author glued the air filter from the Volga with second glue.
The filter is slightly larger in diameter than the cover, and it looks very good.
Here is a lamp turned out by the author. Due to the silver coating of the upper part of the lampshade, a kind of reflector is obtained, and the lamp evenly illuminates the working surface of the table. It can also be used as a night lamp.
