Manufacturing process.
So, the author has acquired such a glass block. This is a fairly cheap building material, its cost is about 100 rubles.
Now you need to drill a hole in it, into which the coins will fall. For this, he will use a crown with a diameter of 40 mm.
The drilling process with such a crown goes well even "dry", except that a bit too much dust. Therefore, it is desirable to add water.
Moreover, the drill confidently coped with its task, even without a center drill. However, it did not slide to the side. The main thing here at the beginning is not to exert much effort.
Then the author cut eight blanks from a wooden corner, and cut off the edges at 45 degrees using a miter box.
He cut blanks from sheet plywood with an ordinary cutting disc.
After processing with sandpaper, he drilled two holes in one of the blanks, and made a slot for coins.
Then, using silicone sealant, I glued the plates to the edges of the block.
Also, corners were glued to the sealant, and fixed with adhesive tape.
The master also closed open corners, but fixed the parts on PVA glue.
After impregnation with a black stain, and the first coins thrown into the piggy bank, it became clear that it would take a very long time to save. After all, the internal volume of this glass block was 3 liters!
So using a set of crowns you can drill very thick glass.
Thanks to the author for a simple, cheap, and unusual idea for a piggy bank!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
