Hello! It took to assemble a small power supply. Father asked me. Found the right components. He needs a power supply to power various small things. The current needs about 1000-1500 mA. I will collect on the Chinese module, respectively, with the adjustment. Previously, he used a heavy power supply, assembled by me on Krenki. The voltage at the output was regulated by a biscuit switch. Collected it in the early 2000s. The old block is heavy and takes up a lot of space. So the assembly of the new has become relevant.
For homemade we will need:
- housing from the old modem;
- power supply from a netbook;
- lowering Chinese module;
- resistor with switch;
- digital voltmeter;
- terminals;
- network connector.
About accessories.
Small case from ADSL modem.
The basis of the power supply, the finished unit from an old netbook.
A down DC / DC module from the Middle Kingdom. The module is assembled on the LM2596S chip. Will be responsible for the adjustment.
Domestic 10 kOhm resistor with switch.
Small-sized voltmeter from China. Small and pretty accurate.
Chinese terminals. Accordingly, a different color.
Connector from an old printer. To supply mains voltage.
Assembly.
Glue masking tape. I make markup for the components.
I cut out a window and drill a hole. Trying on.
I take wires with lugs. I screw to the terminals.
I screw the connector. I seal the excess holes with plastic.
I connect the board to the terminals. I replace the resistor for adjustment with wires.
Install the main board of the power supply. I dock its output with an adjustment module. I solder the network wires, one into the break with the switch, the other directly to the board. I connect a resistor.
I fix the boards with plastic segments and super glue.
From the output of the netbook board brought two wires.
To power the voltmeter, I will use TL431 in a standard connection. Resistors are selected based on 9 volts.
I glue the stabilizer with hot glue.
I am soldering a voltmeter. I fasten the resistor.
I turn it on. Checking the adjustment. The range is from 1.24 to 18.9 volts.
Such an adjustable power supply turned out. The result was completely satisfied.
