Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Parts preparation
First of all, we need to find an old bicycle, we are interested in the front of the frame, where the steering is located. To begin with, the author decided to wash the bike thoroughly, and then you can start cutting. The steering wheel must be removed, cut off the excess parts (horns) from it. We also need to trim the plug, and then we trim the frame as the author. The resulting hinge with the axis will then be welded to the base.
Step Two Fasteners for grinders
Next, we make fasteners for the grinder, for this we need a thick iron plate, we weld the plate to the remaining piece of the fork perpendicularly. We do not regret welding electrodes, everything should be welded as reliably as possible. Next, two holes will need to be drilled in the plate, one will be needed to fasten the grinder in front, using the hole in which the front handle of the grinder is wrapped.
You also need to drill a hole in the area where the back of the grinder will be located. We will fasten it with a clamp.
Step Three Little table
We make a table, for these purposes we will need sheet metal, as well as profile pipes that will serve as legs.To strengthen the structure, you can weld the reinforcement or all the same profile pipes.
At the end of the step, we weld to the countertop part of the frame from the bicycle, where the machine axis will be located. Of course, we make all the necessary measurements, and only then we weld everything well.
Step Four A pen
Let's make a handle for homemade, with which we will lower the grinder. The handle is already ready, this is the remaining piece of the steering wheel. We clean the pipe well and install a rubber handle on it. After that, you can install the working axis, clean everything well, lubricate and install new bearings.
Step Five Spring and stops
You need to install a spring on the machine, which will return the grinder to its original position. To fix the spring, you need a long bolt with nuts, we weld it to the fork. Of course, the spring must be rigid so that it can raise the grinder.
We fasten the stops to the tabletop at an angle of 90 and 45 degrees, drill holes and use bolts with nuts. If desired, you can make other angles, and even better to make the stops adjustable. The author uses a corner as an emphasis.
Step Six Painting and testing
We paint well, so that it does not rust, now it looks beautiful, and it will be a pleasure to work with it. We securely fasten the grinder with a bolt and a clamp, we also install a knife switch in a convenient place on the table, which we will turn on and off the grinder. The knife switch must be with a socket in which we will insert the plug from the grinder.
We turn on the grinder and start cutting, the author easily and simply cuts pipes at an angle of 90 and 45 degrees, it will also be convenient to cut sheet material and other details. With the appearance of backlash, it will be possible to tighten the bearings, as a result, there will be no backlash at all, and the machine will work very accurately.
