Hello to all lovers of craftsmen, today we will consider how to make a very useful nozzle. Homemade will dig out weeds and loosen the top layer of the earth. Previously, the author had already made a similar nozzle, it was made in the form of a disk with a large number of studs made of bolts. The design flaw was that such a large number of spikes created too much stress on the engine and the scythe as a whole. In the new version there are only two spikes and there is a protective shield that protects you from flying stones and dust. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Nozzle
First of all, we will make the most important detail - the nozzle. We will need a thick and strong iron plate, since considerable loads are formed during operation. We cut off the plate, cut off the edges and find the exact cent. If the center is not found exactly, there will be strong vibrations from which the braid nodes will quickly wear out. We drill a hole in the center with a step drill, the diameter of the drill should be such that the groove of the washer that fits on the spit shaft enters it.
We also outline places along the edges of the plate and drill holes; they should be at the same distance from the central hole.
We weld the nuts over the holes, then we wrap the bolts in them, which act as spikes. This is convenient as it will be possible to simply replace the bent bolt.
Step Two Protective shield
We make a protective shield for homemade work, it will protect you from dust and stones that will fly at your feet at high speed. First, cut out a circle, do more diameter than the nozzle. We cut a hole in the center of the circle so that a small shield located on the bar of the spit comes into it.
We also cut out the iron plate and scald the circle in a circle, as a result we get a kind of “pan”.
For the shield, we need to make a clamp, here we need an iron plate, cut and bend it, two nuts are welded to the edges, the thread must be drilled in one nut. We weld the finished clamp to the shield, it is pulled together on the rod by a bolt.
The shield must be cut so that it does not interfere with work, we trim the front part.
Step Three Test
Homemade ready, refuel and go to the test. For the author on the video, homemade work quite efficiently, vegetation is removed to bare ground, and the upper crust is also destroyed. In any case, such home-made work will make rural work much easier and it makes sense to make a nozzle.
