Manufacturing process.
First of all, the master picked up a steel plate about 20 mm thick.
Then he fixed it on a workbench with a clamp, and cleaned it of rust with a grinder.
From the same material I prepared two of these little cubes, now we need to give them the correct shape.
The master rounded the two ends of the bars like this.
I tried on the parts to the base, and applied the marking for drilling holes.
First, he drilled holes in the plate, starting with a small drill and using grease.
In the same way, he made holes in the details of the levers.
The resulting holes must be countersinked.
Further, I prepared such cylindrical elements from steel round timber. He hammer them into the base with a hammer.
He put the future levers on the pins, and scored the remaining two in them.
To the received parts of the lever welded handles from a steel square.
He fixed the base in a vise, and assembled the fixture.
The author also prepared and cut the steel wire into blanks of the same length.
In such a simple way, he bent the first link of the chain.
Now, by threading the wire into the finished link, it bends the remaining links until a chain of the required length is obtained. To strengthen the chain, the junction of the edges of the wire must be boiled.
