In this article we will look at how to make a folding wooden chair. True, it is not completely folding, rather "inset." The horizontal part is inserted into the vertical. It is also easy to disassemble it.
To make such a chair, the master used the following
Tools and materials:
-Birch plywood;
-Board;
-A circular saw;
-Milling machine;
-Bandsaw machine;
- Clamps;
-A screwdriver;
-Fasteners;
-Polyurethane coating;
Step One: Board
Support strips (installed on the sides) are made of boards. There are four support bars, two for the back and two for the seat. The master prepares the board, scribbles, saws.
Step two: support strips
The backrest brackets are shaped. The plank itself is arched with cutouts for installing planks. The master first made a pattern, and then cut two support bars from the pattern. The support strips of the seat are also arched, but without curly cuts. In the seat supports, the master cuts out two coaxial holes for the cross bar.
Step Three: Trims
Cross strips are cut from birch plywood.
Step Four: Assembling the Back
Screws the cross bars to the back support bars.
Step Five: Build the Seat
Assembles a seat. There are no cutouts, and the master sets the same distance between the planks by inserting two pencils between them.
Step Six: Cover
Covers the back and seat with a water-based polyurethane coating.
After drying, you can collect the chair.
All is ready. The chair is quickly assembled, quickly disassembled and, when disassembled, does not take up much space.
