The master is engaged in the manufacture of a racing car. In the process, he has to clean metal pipes from corrosion, old rust, etc. This work is tiring and time consuming. The master tried to use for cleaning the angle grinder with a petal disk, but the result did not satisfy him.
Then he decided to do for angle grinders devicefor working with sanding belt.
Tools and materials:
-Pipe profile and round;
-USHM;
- Rollers with bearings from a skateboard - 3 pcs;
-Fasteners;
Sanding belt;
-Welding machine;
-Drill;
-Tap;
-Spring;
Step One: Project
In the drawing, you can see the fixture after complete assembly. The yellow circles indicate the axis of the rollers. Dimensions are in inches.
Step Two: Center Roller
The central roller is attached directly to the angle grinder spindle. In the center of the spindle, the master drills a blind hole. Threads a hole. Next, you need to install the roller and fix it with a bolt.
Step Three: Center Tube
As can be seen from the drawing, the frame of the device consists of two profile pipes. One tube is central. The master welds the protective casing of the angle grinder to the tube. You can fasten the casing with bolts. The master welds the handle to the central tube. Using it will be easier to control the tool.
Step Four: Rollers
At the ends of the profiles, the master drills a hole and sets the rollers.
Step Five: Lever
Two pipes are connected in one design through an eye welded to the central pipe. The central tube is attached directly to the angle grinder, and the second pipe is already attached to it. The fixing bolt passes through the entire tube and is fixed with a nut on the back side. It is not necessary to tighten the bolt all the way, the tube must turn freely.
On the one hand, the master welds a nut to the tube, a locking bolt will be screwed here. On the other hand, a spring hole is drilled.
Now you need to adjust the rollers in height so that the tape does not warp, and it does not slip, and you're done.
