Copper lid for matchbox




In this work, it will be more interesting not the lid itself, but the technique of working with copper. Moreover, with the exception of some minor operations, the master processes the copper billet manually.

Tools and materials:
-Jigsaws;
-Drilling machine or drill;
-Sandpaper;
- Files;
-Hammer;
-Glue;
-Matchbox;
-Vise;
-Hacksaw;
-Calipers;
-Computer software;

Step One: Template
You can simply disassemble the cardboard box cover as a template, or you can measure the box and make a template using a computer and printer.

Step Two: Plate Preparation
Slices a copper plate of the appropriate size. Edges the edges. Sticks on a plate template.








Step Three: Cut
In order to cut the figure, the master drills a hole and the hole starts the canvas. Further cuts the figure along the contour. Rectangular windows are cut along the edges of the plate. To facilitate the cutting process can be made of wood










After cutting, the master polishes the surface with sandpaper.

Step Four: Bending
For bending plates, the master makes a block-sized box.
