- suitable radial bearing (for eccentric);

Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Scissor preparation
First, prepare the scissors. It is advisable to pre-disassemble and sharpen them if necessary. The author cuts off the excess parts of the handles from the scissors with the help of a grinder.
Step Two Cam manufacturing
We make an eccentric, here we need a radial ball bearing of a suitable size. The inner diameter of the bearing should be such that the bearing is put on the shaft of the grinder with a clearance. In the end, we need to move the bearing to the side to get an eccentric. The author has honed a special insert using a lathe. To offset the center, some authors simply cut the emphasis out of a piece of bolt. In the end, the whole thing is clamped with washers and a nut. Of course, you do not need to block the bearing race; this will increase the efficiency and extend the life of the machine.
Step Three Clamp
Let's make a collar, scissors will be fixed on it. The author made a collar from a piece of steel pipe, he puts on the part where the shield is attached.The collar is pulled together with the help of nuts and a bolt; for convenience, the author has welded a steel plate, which serves as a handle.
Step Four Assembly and testing
We weld one of the handles to the clamp, and for the second handle we make a lever from a suitable piece of iron, which will transmit movements from the eccentric. To interact with the eccentric, we take a piece of a round pipe and with the help of a hammer we give the pipe an oval shape.
We weld the lever to the manufactured part and the scissors are ready. In the end, it would be nice to paint the homemade, as well as grease the scissors.
We start the grinder, strong vibrations are not visible, the stroke of the scissors is not very large. The author tries to cut a profile sheet, a homemade cuts it like paper, easily and quickly, without noise, sparks and dust. Of course, in order for the homemade product to be safe, all welds must be very strong, and it would be nice to turn on the grinder through a dimmer, if there is no built-in speed adjustment.
