Hi everyone, I propose to consider a very simple design of an electric bike. The author screwed a small brush motor from kits for an electric bike to the frame. There is no electronics in the design, the power source for the motor is, and the motor is controlled using a button from a screwdriver. Of course, the capacity of the selected battery is small, but with a good battery you can go quite far. The drive is carried out directly to the rear sprocket block, that is, you can even help the engine work. So that the connecting rods with pedals do not spin when the engine is running, you need to make an additional asterisk with ratchet. An advantage of the design is also that in the event of a battery discharge, you can drive in a muscular way. If the project interests you, I propose to study it in more detail!

Step one. Engine installation
The author screwed the motor directly to the frame in the right place. It is important to calculate everything so that you can put the chain. A small bicycle sprocket is installed on the motor shaft, to which the author has welded a special adapter for installation on the motor shaft.
After installing the engine, cut or sharpen the chain and put it in its place. It is better to transmit the torque to the largest sprocket in the block, so the load on the motor will be minimal.
Step Two We fix the battery
We fasten two clamps to the frame or make another latch for the battery. The battery is connected using a “plug” from a screwdriver, the author soldered the wires to it. The battery should be removed as easily as possible so that it can be quickly put on charge.
Step Three Assembly and race
The author decided to manage all this design with the help of a button from a screwdriver, which was fixed on the steering wheel with nylon ties. We securely fix the wires on the frame so that nothing hangs and does not break.
You can go, the motor power is enough to ride an adult large man on a bike. Of course, the battery charge is weak, but who's stopping you from carrying a pair of batteries from screwdrivers in your backpack?
