Power bank from the old do-it-yourself

Hello, today I will share with you a way to make a budget portable charger with the ability to change batteries.

The basis of our charger is the module that I took from the bank with an inoperative battery, the fact is that these chargers are quite popular due to their low price and they often fail the battery or something else. Suppose I had two such bank accounts, one I purchased myself and the usb connector broke, and the other was given to me by my classmate. You can ask your acquaintances or friends if they have inoperative chargers.

This is what these external batteries look like.

To make a portable battery we need:
18650 battery
holder for 18650 battery
-powerbank module
headphone wiring

Instruments:
-Super glue
nippers
soldering iron
-solder
-rosin

To begin with, we will change the location of usb on the module so that it is convenient to put a portable battery in your pocket and the wire does not interfere. The module itself initially looks something like this, only the connector is soldered to the board, the fact is that this is the same bank with usb broken, when replacing it, I inadvertently pulled out the connector with a piece of the board.

We remove the connector from the board and cut it to the place where usb was located.

First, glue the part of usb where there are no contacts with superglue, like this:

Next, we turn the board over and take two wires from the headphones and tidy them, on the one hand.

After that, we solder the wires to the two extreme contacts, I took the wires from the headphones due to the fact that they are insulated with varnish and due to this the probability that we can short-circuit something disappears.

When we soldered the wiring to the connector, we solder + usb to out +, and - to out- according to pinout of the contacts.

Glue this side.

We take the battery box and cut the wires to the pads.

Solder the red wire to pin B +, and the black wire to B-.

We smear the box with glue, you can use super glue or any other, I personally used B7000 glue.

We glue the module.

We insert the battery.

That's all, the bank is ready, you need to wait until the glue dries and, if possible, temporarily press the board to the battery holder with something. In conclusion, I want to say that this external battery is compact and does not take up much space; it can easily fit in your pocket and not cause any inconvenience.
