DIY boat anchor

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Of course, among visitors to this site there are fishing enthusiasts who are the owners of boats.
In this article, the YouTube author of the Samodelki Vitmana channel will tell you how he made a very simple but effective enough anchor for inflatable boats.

This homemade product is quite simple to manufacture, but it will require welding.

Materials
- Steel plate 30 mm thick
- Armature
- Steel bars with diameters of 20 and 16 mm
- Steel tubes, wire
- Nut M16
- Spray paint or primer.

Instruments, used by the author.
—  Welding machine
—  Bulgarian
- Cleaning and cutting discs.

Manufacturing process.
So, this homemade product will consist of two main parts, the first is the cargo itself, the details for it are very simple. This is a steel plate 30 mm thick and 250X110 mm in size. These dimensions do not matter much, and even connecting dies for rails are suitable. He will also need two pieces of reinforcement with a length of about 100 mm.

The second part is the shank, or movable mounting system.

The anchor mounting system will be articulated with a sinker, and will be attached to it using two bushings from pipe scraps.

After welding and stripping, we get such a design with a ring threaded through a nut. The ring is needed so that the rope or cable tied to it does not fray.

Pipe pieces are put on the axis, and will be fixed on one side of the load.

So, the author has welded tubes to the load, and the anchor is almost ready. Also bushings and axle should be greased with lithol or solid oil.

Two pieces of reinforcement can be welded to the second edge of the load in this way. They will improve anchor grip.

The resulting design of the anchor should be carefully cleaned, covered with a layer of primer and paint. The total mass of the product made by the author was about 7 Kg. And thanks to the folding mounting system it is very convenient to transport. Also, the inclined rod will provide the desired rope inclination without shifting the base itself relative to the bottom of the reservoir.

In addition, the master kindly provided drawings of this anchor.

I thank the author for the simple but useful device for fishing from a boat!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

For the convenience of transportation, I would have made the pins folding and to recline at an angle of 80 ° +/- gadus, then caps for sharpened pins are not needed.

Isn’t it easier to drill a hole and insert a ring for the cable?

Oh, I forgot ... the booze will not sink. Only catch it all over the river. drinks

Reinforcing valves stuck into the ground could have been sharpened.

Then you definitely need to come up with caps for her. Otherwise, the inflatable boat can be sent to the bottom together with the anchor.

Reinforcing valves stuck into the ground could have been sharpened.
Then on dense soils the anchor would hold even better.
