Manufacturing process.
John uses half-inch plywood from the Baltic birch for his project, but any other high-quality plywood will do. First, the author drills the central holes with a Forstner drill.
Then, the round beads are cut out on a drilling machine with a crown, and the edges are ground.
A through hole is drilled in the middle of each circle. Legs need 4 bolts per quarter inch, preferably with a flat head. In any case, each hole on the underside of the plywood “pillow” is countersunk under the bolt head. On the upper side of the leg, a washer is inserted into the recess, and is attracted by a nut.
John puts the circular table on its side, propping it on the side, and drills a long hole in each leg of the table.
Nuts are inserted and hammered into the holes with a hammer (furniture driven). But before, each nut, together with the spikes, is coated with control glue. After that, the adjustable legs themselves are screwed.
Now that all the legs are in place, you can begin to adjust the height of each leg and thereby align the surface of the table. It is enough to put a wrench between the foot itself and the end of the table leg and turn the lock nut on one side, and the leg will get the desired length.
