What we used to call a floor fan is a fan located quite high, and its floor only has a stand. The author of Instructables under the nickname Canvas of Dreams made a fan that is literally outdoor: it is located on the floor and blows upward at an angle of about 45 °. Compared to a fan, it’s more compact on the floor stand, and unlike the desktop fan, it does not take up space on the table.
The master makes all parts of the fan casing from plywood 12 mm thick according to the following sketch:
In fact, there are not five, but seven: those that are indicated on the sketch as side ones must be made in duplicate. Which the master does, and on the front panel installs with the help of bolts and nuts a standard fan from the kitchen hood.
Then the master assembles the fan casing on nails and glue:
Saws too long nails with a grinder so that it is impossible to hurt his hands:
Installs a door handle for carrying with self-tapping screws. In fact, carry such a pen homemade not very comfortable. It is better to take a movable one from a suitcase.
This fan could be made single-speed, but the master decides to add a special five-speed speed regulator for the fans to it (dimmers are not suitable):
