Many of you love outdoor recreation, but how to cook or reheat food in wet weather, or is there simply no desire to make a bonfire for this? Or maybe in your workshop or the garage not enough stove?
In this article, Alexander, the author of the Alexander Polulyakh YouTube channel, will tell you how to make a small burner from an old gas canister.
This homemade burner is very easy to manufacture, and can be repeated in home conditions.
Materials
- Gas spray
- Medical alcohol
- Sandpaper.

Manufacturing process.
First of all, you need to make sure that the gas cylinder is empty and there is no pressure in it. Then from its surface it is necessary to clean the paint-and-lacquer coating with sandpaper.
The bezel and skirt around the valve must be removed.
Next, the balloon must be cut into two equal halves. The author does this with a dremel, but an ordinary hacksaw for metal is also suitable.
The rim around the top of the cylinder is ground on a grinding machine, and the lid itself is removed.
Sharp edges need to be cleaned with sandpaper.
A small ring is additionally cut from the bottom of the cylinder.
Cut points are also ground.
This ring should be slightly reduced in diameter with the help of pliers.
On the remaining bottom, the author marks a ring at a distance of 15-20 mm from the upper edge.
The lid is inserted into the bottom like this.
Now 12 holes of 0.5 mm diameter are drilled around the entire perimeter of the glass.
All parts for the burner are ready, now you can assemble it. First, the cap is inserted into the cylinder.
And then both of these parts are installed inside the glass, and its upper edge is beaten with a hammer.
The upper edges are flared.
The burner is ready and can be filled with alcohol. As the tank warms up, alcohol vapor will begin to pass through the holes.
Now when device flared up, you can put the dishes, and cook food.
