Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. The foundation
First of all, we will make the base of the nozzle, on which all other nodes will be located. First you need a piece of a round pipe, the diameter should be such that the pipe fits tightly on the part of the grinder where the shield is attached. You can make a pipe clamp, or you can just squeeze it to the desired diameter by cutting and welding.
Next to a round pipe we weld a piece of a square pipe well, everything should be welded as tightly as possible. In order to fasten the base to the grinder, we left the steel plates, these ears are screwed to the grinder with bolts, the ears are welded to the base.
Step Two Stock
We make a stock that will perform reciprocating movements. The stem is made of a steel plate, in it you need to cut an oval hole under the shaft of the grinder. The rod is driven by a radial bearing, which is offset mounted on the shaft of the grinder.
The guides for the rod are slots cut in a square pipe, which is welded into the base. Stops are welded to the rod, and it is precisely these stops that the radial bearing abuts.
Step ThreeGuide
We make a guide for the working body (piece of the valve), it will not allow the working rod to move left and right. The author formed the necessary groove from steel plates, everything is done by cutting and welding. In the end, after grinding on a grinding machine, the whole product looks like a solid and reliable design.
Step Four Bottom stop
For the valve stem, you need to make a lower stop to get a gap into which the chips will go off when cutting. Such an emphasis can be made from a piece of a large-diameter bolt. We drill a hole along the bolt and weld into place. At the end, we cut a gap into which all the shavings from cutting will be sent. The stem should go in the hole with a minimum clearance.
Step Five Grind the working rod
The working rod, which is responsible for cutting steel, is made of a piece of the valve, there is a very strong hardened steel, which will remain sharpened for a long time. In stock, the author pitches grooves with a drill. One groove is needed to fix the rod, and the other groove is needed for cutting.
Step Six Painting and assembly
We paint all the details and now you can assemble the homemade product. It will not be amiss to lubricate all friction units with solid oil or other grease, this will increase the efficiency and extend the tool life. Seventh step. Test
The homemade product is ready, it is best to start the tool through a dimmer. Since the bearing is biased, there may be vibration at higher speeds.
