Who has a piece of land, dreams of his well. If you have money - no problem. We figured it out at the family council and decided: we will drill the well ourselves. We have one well for the whole village, and one at the other end. Sons took up the work.
We took an ice drill, which we used to go fishing with in the winter, and modernized it: we removed the handle, there was a pipe with a screw and knives, we added 3 extension pipes. Holes have been drilled at the ends of the extension pipes so that when the end of the thin pipe enters the thick pipe, they can be bolted together. The length of each pipe is about 1.5 m. The screw is 180 mm in diameter. We prepared a casing (thick-walled plastic for food) with an external diameter of 150 mm. From one end, a large number of holes 3–4 mm in diameter were drilled on the pipe so that water from the aquifer could penetrate the casing. To prevent sand and small pebbles from falling into the water, we made a simple filter from a fine stainless mesh. In the place where the holes were drilled, neatly, coil to coil, wound stainless steel wire.
The place for the future well was chosen using the L-shaped copper wire. There were 3 such places. In the most convenient, they began to drill a well. As drilling was added extension pipes. At a depth of 6.5 m, sand and water went. On the 8th meter they hit a stone. Our drill did not take it. Then they quickly inserted a casing into the well and lowered the Malysh pump. They pumped for several days until clear water started to flow. They handed over for analysis, the conclusion is suitable for drinking, only the flow rate is small, only 60 liters per day. Over time, a windmill with a pump was installed, it pumps water in the presence of wind day and night.
The way out is not cardinal, but still the way out, now you don’t have to go to the other end of the village to get water.
