In the case when the tile is laid on the wall, and where the door frame is installed, there is a small slope that needs to be decorated. Since this slope is only 17 mm, we will not be able to lay it out with tiles. If you consider that the doors will constantly slam, then a small tile on the slope will last for a short time.
Watch our video on how to decorate the slope in a few minutes to the tone of the ceramic tiles in the room.
We will need:
- construction tape;
- paint to match the tiles;
- plaster;
- putty;
- White paint;
- a rag.
We need to do the following:
- We glue the edges of the tiles with construction tape so as not to smear it with paint during decoration. It is easier to peel off a strip of adhesive tape than then wash off the paint from the tile with a solvent.
- plaster a small slope;
- putty;
- pre-paint;
- it is important to make the slope monophonic, so that the texture of this stone can be easily conveyed.
We paint a slope. We take a light tone as the basis.
Then we take the paint in the tone of the tile, soak a cloth in it, make a shapeless lump out of it and roll this lump along our door slope.
When the paint is absorbed into the rag, again dip it into the paint, crush it into a lump and roll it over the box again. It is impossible for the ball of their rags to slide, it should roll on the surface, and not slip.
After you decorate 3 slopes, carefully review your work. There should be no symmetrical strokes at eye level. If you don’t like a place, add a few strokes there.
At the end, remove the construction tape that protected the edges of the tile from excess paint.
