The costume that glows in the dark is, no doubt, impressive! You can make such a costume for a themed party, on the eve of Halloween, and just for making friends. What will be required for this?
Step 1: Preparing Materials
To work, you will need:
- LED Strip Light
- wooden fingers
- connectors for LED strips
- battery 12 V
- sweatshirt with a hood and pants
- tape for insulation
Step 2. Cooking Tools
- Soldering iron, solder
- Glue gun
- Nippers
Step 3. Preparing the LED strip
Strips of LED strip should be cut, which will need to be fixed on clothes.
It is necessary to draw an arrangement of LEDs in advance. On the tape, as a rule, scissors are drawn in those places where you can make an incision.
You will need to make five strips of a predetermined length. The longest strip is the one that runs along the body and around the head.
Step 4. LED line for trousers
We take two LED strips. We solder the positive wires together, we do the same with the negative ones. We fix connectors for LED strips. We use glue and a protective sheath of the LED strip to make the mount secure. Care should be taken, otherwise, you can spoil the pants with glue.
Step 5. LED line for hoodie
You need to put your hands on the sweatshirt and determine the center line. This is where the LED lines should go.
Next - to weld the strips together and fix them on a hoodie with adhesive tape and a glue gun. For more accurate and accurate work, it is recommended to use a wooden hoop. The connectors are fixed in the manner indicated in the instructions (it is attached to the LED strip).
Step 6. Installing the power supply
The LEDs should be powered by a current source (in this case, a battery). The power source is securely fixed to clothing with adhesive tape.
If done correctly, all tapes will light up immediately. Such a great suit can be made for both a child and an adult.
