Unique accessories are always interesting in that it is not always possible to guess what they are intended at first glance for. So we need:
- flashlight;
- variable resistance;
- aluminum rivet.
Let's start by disassembling the flashlight. The author of the idea uses an ordinary LED flashlight. At the beginning, he makes a part that serves as a housing for the bulb, but this step can be skipped using the factory part.
A thin nichrome spiral is installed in the variable resistance, which will glow from an electric current. Therefore, you need to parse the variable resistance.
We get a winding of nichrome wire.
On the cover of variable resistance, we make a hole for the diameter of the aluminum rivet.
We also need to make a small washer plug. To do this, you can use another cover of variable resistance. We make a small hole in the middle on it.
Now we need to wrap a nichrome thread with a small margin. An aluminum rivet will serve as a contact and at the same time hold a nichrome thread.
Then insert the rivet into the hole and extrude it.
We put glue on the bulb housing, we pass the spiral into the middle and glue the part on the cover of variable resistance.
Poke a nichrome thread through the hole on the plug. Insert the plug into the bulb housing.
The second end of the spiral must be fixed to the body of the part. To do this, you can use a piece of aluminum, which can be installed in the case itself, making a small hole in the inside.
It should be clarified that when using a long piece of spiral, the battery power will not be enough to warm up to red. Therefore, before final assembly, we advise you to experiment with the length and shorten the thread if necessary.
The cigarette lighter is ready. You can collect the flashlight back and share the idea with friends.
