How to wind a coil for a metal detector

In this article, I will show you how to wind the reel on your own. metal detector. For example, take this metal detector Toddler FM2. The coil in it should be wound with a certain accuracy, but how can this be done to a simple person who does not understand anything about this ?? To help us, the greatest minds have created an interesting program (Coil32) who do not have a program, download at the end of the article.

And so, the metal detector circuit says that the coil must have an inductance of 2290mkH (microgenry). It even says what wire and what diameter to wind. But if I want a coil of a larger diameter or a smaller one or the wire I have is of the wrong thickness ??

Then turn on our program (Coil32)

In the open program, click (PLUGINS) then (Multi loop) there we will have the coils we need.

This window will pop up:

Now everything is simple, everything is signed in the windows, what diameter of the wire, on what frame to wind and most importantly the window with inductance. We insert our parameters into the windows: we need 2290 mkH inductance, I had a wire of 0.4, and I want to wind the coil on an 11cm (111mm) mandrel. As soon as all values are set, press the calculate button and the right information will appear in the window to the right

So now you can independently calculate and reel for yourself a coil of any diameter, which is most suitable for you.
