They decided to make a new solid brazier for themselves, the old one rusted and led it.
I bought a profile and any small things in a hardware store.
Sheet metal remained after the UAZ overcooking.
Little tip:
After buying sheet metal from rolled metal, take a blowtorch and burn the metal itself. The fact is that after metal rolling, an oily film remains on the sheets, which during cooking gives unpleasant smoke and poor penetration, and this is already bad! (
Along the perimeter of the brazier, I retreated 7 cm from the top and welded a profile pipe. This is done so that the walls of the barbecue during use do not lead.
I welded a corner under the bottom of the barbecue, did it also for the bottom fortress))
I welded handles from a rod on each side, tried to withstand 10 cm along the edge. The hand rests normally. The only thing I forgot is putting the handsets on the handles
Everything went through from the inside with a solid seam, we’re not doing it for a couple of days)
At the corners at the bottom of the grill, a foot mount was piled on. The fastener made a square pipe from the remains + welded a nut on each fastener. Actually now I understand that it would be better to take a larger square and attach legs there, but this is all nonsense, I will redo it.
He left everything as it is, did not clean the welding, one fig is rusty, and aesthetics is in the background)))
I drilled holes on the sides of the brazier, but 12 mm every 5 cm, you may have to drill even lower.
