Like this all-terrain vehicle was made by the author mainly for hunting trips or mushrooms. Poetmow machine was planned reliable and lifting, and also has a lightweight body for loading supplies and production.

Materials, assemblies and mechanisms used to build this all-terrain vehicle:
1) Wheels the size of 1120 to 480 from the Yak-40
2) engine from vaz 2110
3) steering from vaz 2110
4) bridges of vaz 2101
5) hydraulic power steering from vaz 2110
6) the steering column from the Niva

Consider in more detail the steps of assembling an all-terrain vehicle.

To begin with, the all-terrain vehicle frame was assembled.

Then the author installed the engine from the VAZ 2110, this of course has a rather excessive mass for this machine, but provides a power reserve.
Thanks to which the all-terrain vehicle has a fairly high speed.

Thanks to the use of these units and assemblies, it was possible to pay off the gear ratio four times, this turned out to be quite enough. The minimum speed of an all-terrain vehicle is equal to one kilometer per hour, the maximum speed due to a powerful engine is 60 kilometers per hour.

Initially, the author planned to install wheels from KAMAZ, but he feared for the integrity of the bridges. Therefore, tires from the Yak-40 were used.

According to the design of Uvata, the all-terrain vehicle swivel was assembled:

Then the author proceeded to install the steering column on an all-terrain vehicle.


Cardans were cut and overcooked in size:

Since the cardans were cut and welded, the author decided to extinguish the tilt angles using two crosses.

Then the author proceeded to install a hydraulic power steering:


A bypass roller was made for the alternator belt, power steering and all-terrain crankshaft.


The result was such a workaround:

It was fixed through the generator’s own mounting bolt, and an additional 6 mm hole was made through the bracket and a 6 mm bolt nut was inserted from the inside, with which the design was re-fixed to increase overall reliability.



Belts were made for cameras with which it will be attached to the wheels of an all-terrain vehicle:

Then the author proceeded to decorating.With the help of glass glue the windshield of an all-terrain vehicle was installed and fixed.



The author considered the option of installing bridges from UAZ and 1300 to 600 to 533 wheels, which will be even more powerful and stronger, but much harder.

In addition, there will be problems when installing bridges from the cornfield or UAZ, since the wheels of the all-terrain vehicle were made under the hub of a vase with a bolt distance of 4 to 48.

And if you just install larger wheels without replacing the axles, then these axles will have too much load.
And so on an all-terrain vehicle, forest terrain is easily overcome, it is difficult to get through wetlands.

The machine is capable of carrying up to 400 kilograms of cargo.

However, the author really wants to increase the swimming ability of the all-terrain vehicle. In addition, these wheels do not allow confident ride in deep snow. On bridges from UAZ and corresponding wheels of 1300 to 600, there should be no problems of overcoming sections in deep snow, and this is what attracts the author. However, even in this case, the speed of the all-terrain vehicle through the water will not be very high. In addition, due to the rather large body and cab, the control of the all-terrain vehicle will for the most part depend on the wind. Therefore, the possibility of installing a propeller on the stern of the machine is also considered.

The middle option is also considered in the form of installing wheels from the vi-3, which will allow you to perfectly overcome clay obstacles, as well as increase the buoyancy of the all-terrain vehicle and, accordingly, its cross-country ability in the snow.

Although for use on forest routes, Trekol 1350 to 700 tires with Christmas tree tread are more suitable.
The Christmas tree protector is thicker and tougher than the standard. In addition, with a decrease in pressure, the contact area with the road for such rubber practically does not change. that is, a "Christmas tree" can go by the angle of the wheel along the track without touching the working surface of the road. But for winter, such a tire is not suitable.
