Watches are a necessary detail in the life of each of us. It is difficult to imagine a person who would never inquire of the day what time it is. Wall clocks, in addition to its functionality, have long been a worthy element of decor. Today, there are many different design watches. This necessary mechanism of each house can have all kinds of variations in form, color, style. A luminous wall clock will become a spectacular decoration of the interior, which will not only play an aesthetic role, but will also make it possible to see the exact time at any time of the day.
Moreover, a luminous watch can be made independently using LEDs. The author of the proposed project was a foreign designer, John Schroeder. The luminous wall clock will be an original addition to the decorativeness of the house during the day and a faithful assistant in determining the time at night.
We select materials.
To make a luminous watch you will need some free time, desire and some necessary technical elements, namely:
1. 4 wooden slats, measuring 30 cm by 1.3 cm by 1.3 cm.
2. Woodboard. Take care that its size is 30 cm by 30 cm.
3. White PVC sticker (for the dial) of the corresponding size 30 cm by 30 cm.
4. 12 stethodiodes with which a backlight will be provided.
5.2 diodes IN 4007.
6. Capacitor 0.22 uF / 400 Volt.
7. Quartz movement, which can be purchased at the store.
8. A few nails.
9. Solder, soldering iron and other improvised tools.
It is this inventory that is needed in order to make a wall glowing clock.
2. We make a frame.
The first thing you need to start with is to create a square frame for the watch from create a square frame for the watch from a fiberboard. Using a pencil, mark where the watch will be located. After that, insert the needles in those places where we will place the LEDs later. Very neatly affairs the special central opening intended for the clockwork mechanism. Then we attach the white sticker to the dial. You can also decorate the frame to your taste.
3.We work with a clockwork.
At the prepared places (where the needles are), we fix the LEDs so that they lie parallel to the main platform. Note that their "pluses" should be in exactly the same position, in other words, look one way.
4. We make a chain.
The required electrical circuit of the clock is shown in the figure. It should be noted that it involves working with 220 V.
We take 6 LEDs and insert them into the circuit, after that we fix the resistor and capacitor. Watch for polarity. Check that 2 diodes control the reverse voltage.
5. We are engaged in assembly.
We assemble, directly, the clockwork and proceed to its connection to the hands by means of a central hole made in a wooden frame. After that, insert the batteries.
6. We get the desired result.
We start testing the luminous clock and enjoy their work.
