Hello, in this article I want to share with you a simple device for collecting birch sap. Spring is in the yard, and it's time to go to the forest, or a birch grove for a wonderful drink, birch sap. This type of juice is very useful, because it carries all the useful substances for tree growth, it is also indispensable for a person in the fight against spring vitamin deficiency. From ancient times, our ancestors valued and respected birch, and birch sap, even deified. Birch is a very beautiful tree, a lot of poems have been written about it, and the whole story is very closely connected with this tree.

So, in order not to harm our beautiful birch tree during the selection of juice, I do the following, prepare a tube or cambric from a wire with a diameter of 6 mm in advance, a screwdriver with a drill for 6 mm, a container for collecting juice, and a rope for attaching. Make a hole at the base of the barrel, insert the tube into the hole made and collect the juice))).

And so first you need to find a suitable middle-aged birch, in no case not young it can be destroyed.

So we selected a birch, we prepare tools.

We take a cordless drill, and we make only one hole, to a depth of the drill floor.

Then I insert cambric into the hole.

I put a container for collecting juice.

And to be sure, I tie it with a rope to a birch, I also carry out a masking of the container, twigs, and leaves, from unwanted friends of freebie lovers.

That's the whole simple way, the most important thing in it we do not cause significant harm to the birch. After the deadline for collecting juice, this hole is simply clogged with a small wooden chopper, and the tree feels great.

When you open the bottle - the smell ... is not very pleasant))). But kvass itself is delicious… But again ... women don’t really like it, and men praise the polls! I don’t know one that he didn’t like such kvass! ))))

And also maple juice is delicious ... in my childhood, behind the garden, there was a whole plantation of maples, so we constantly put the juice. He is very sweet.

What are you doing with juice? Kvass do? We pour it into bottles and there is candy in each bottle (barberry, duchesse ..). Well, caramel is shorter without filling. The bottle is then inflated heavily (it sometimes explodes, but rarely). It turns out a very tasty thing, much cooler than sparkling water.
But if you drink a lot ... you can even get a little drunk))

There are still dried fruits thrown, but I do not like. You can sugar instead of sweets, but that’s not right, there will be no such taste.
And I always did not make tubes, but grooves from cans. The groove in the shallow bark was hammered, and a deep hole was already drilled above it. And under it - a three-liter jar, because in my childhood and youth there were no plastic bottles ....)))
And now, by the way, it’s easier to buy juice from us in forestry. In the season, all forestries plant plantations in birch forests. You drop by, you pour it into your own container, and on the road you pay a penny for the amount that you poured. They give you a check.
And without it, if they stop on the highway and find juice in the car (and stand in the season and selectively brake), you will pay a large fine! Because to collect juice you need to get a license and pay an environmental fee! Otherwise, it is punished as poaching!
So, I drove into a forestry a couple of weeks ago, took 200 liters, and "do not buzz"))))
