I offer my very simple way to warm the handle of a winter rod.
The simplicity is that each house has glue and five wine corks.
First, take a kitchen, ordinary grater. We rub our corks on the smallest grater, almost into powder.
We disassemble the fishing rod in order to free the handle itself. It doesn’t work out that it’s not scary, you can also insulate it when assembled.
Degrease the handle with any solvent or alcohol.
Then we take polymer glue, or glue for rubber.
We apply glue evenly on the handle. Polymer glue can be applied directly with your finger, it can easily be removed later. With rubber a little worse.
Then we envelop the handle in the chips, first smooth it with our hands, then roll it on a flat surface.
Give the glue a little hold.
I wind the tape on both sides of the handle so that the chips do not go too far.
cut off.
And in this way we apply the layers alternately, in my case there are six of them.
After the last layer we give the glue to dry well already.
Then we cut the insulating tape with a knife, lightly sand it with sandpaper.
And collect the rod back.
That's all, the handle is ready. In this way, you can insulate not only fishing rods, but also spinning rods, etc.
