Good day to all. Today we’ll talk how to make a “Kopalochka” This tool will be very helpful for everyone who works in the garden. Unlike a conventional shovel, digging the ground with this device is many times faster, easier, and most importantly, without straining your back.
And so we need:
Metal sheet 2 mm thickness
Half Inch Metal Pipe
Two bolts m 8
Two nuts and two engravers to these bolts.
Well, let's get a sheet
and make the markup as in the photo
These will be our knives; their height will be 27 cm; the widest part will be 3 cm.
Then we take the pipe and cut off a piece of 43 cm. On this piece we retreat 5 mm from the edge and make a mark with chalk, subsequent marks every 6 cm at the end should remain the same as the beginning of 5 mm. Then, again, we take the grinder, we just put the grinding wheel on it and make cuts in the places of marking with chalk, approximately to the middle of the pipe diameter.
We take our knives made earlier and insert them into the slots. Be careful the knives are smooth on one side, and on the other they have a slope at an angle. We put them so that they are on one side all with straight edges.
And weld them by welding.
We debug this workpiece to the side and take the pipe, cut two pieces of 1 m 20 cm and one piece of 70 cm
We do as in the picture
These will be the pens of our digger
A piece which is 70 cm welded from the top to the handles.
It turns out something like this. Then cut off 4 pieces from the sheet as in the photo
Dimensions 3 cm by 7 cm and from one edge we drill under our bolts.
Weld to our digger, retreating 23 cm
The holes on the strips should be directed in the direction where the knives have a flat edge.
Next we will do the attachment to our adaptation. We cut two pieces of pipe of 45 cm and bend as in the photo.
On one edge, both parts are a little bit with a hammer
And also we drill under bolts m 8
cut another piece of pipe its size should correspond to the width of the size that we have between the handles, and weld it to our curved workpieces
Next, insert and fasten the attachment to the digger.
The attachment should swing freely
Everything, our fixtures are ready (for a better look you can still paint, but you can leave it as it is.)
Principle of operation: We drive into the ground like pitchforks, for the handles we push a little down on ourselves, and then a push from ourselves.
