Hello again, dear visitors of this site: friends and interested. In this article I will tell you how easy and simple to make in home A homemade reusable, waterproof match case.
Now it’s spring, but not long before the summer. Summer, as you know, is the best time for various hikes, fishing, trips to the forest for mushrooms and berries. That is why, already now, you can begin to slowly prepare camping equipment for the summer, as well as various things and objects necessary for hiking. Perhaps one of the most important camping gear (which absolutely no campaign can do without) is an item that allows you to get fire, for example, matches or a lighter. Although matches still represent a simpler and more reliable option and are most often used in various campaigns. However, matches have one very significant drawback.
If suddenly water gets into a matchbox: in the rain, falls into a puddle - you never know, then immediately all the matches will get wet, then they will no longer do their job - burn. Why aren't they burning? The fact is that matches contain Bertoletova salt, which reacts with phosphorus and sulfur only at temperatures above 100 degrees. This temperature is achieved due to the friction of the dry matter on the dry matter. When moisture enters, Bertholetan salt passes into a solution where such temperatures are unattainable. The process conditions disappeared, the process itself disappeared. In addition, friction on the solution is nonsense. This explains why dried matches do not light up well: this happens when the content in the match head decreases due to leaching of the Bertholite salt during dissolution. And without this salt, the process does not go. Okay, it's time to finish the theory, let's move on to practice.
For homemade I needed:
1) Stationery knife,
2) lighter,
3) Marker of any color,
4) a nail
5) scissors,
6) Glue gun and hot glue,
7) Pliers
8) Matches,
9) Sandpaper.
1) Two plastic bottles,
2) Matchbox.
First, we take plastic bottles and mark with a marker on them.
We cut the bottle along the line with an office knife.
Uneven parts of the resulting part are cleaned with sandpaper.
From another plastic bottle we make almost the same, but different in size.
We got two such details.
We glue them together with a glue gun.
Next, we take a matchbox and with scissors we cut off from it that part with which we light a match.
Glue them to the case with hot glue.
Almost everything, the case is already ready, you can already fill it with matches, but if you leave it like that, in order to get the match you will need to unscrew it each time and open the cover. This is not very convenient, so we will make a more convenient way in order to get matches. To do this, heat the nail with a lighter, taking it with pliers so as not to burn your hands. With a heated nail, we pierce a hole along the edge of the lid.
Now with scissors we cut the circle of neck diameters from the plastic bottle itself.
We make a small recess on it and glue the blank on the neck, but so that when the case is completely closed, the recess and the opening of the lid do not coincide with each other, otherwise the matches will fall on ctmt anywhere.
Screw the lid back and that’s it, the homemade match case is ready. It remains to unscrew the lid to the recess, shake a little and the match will fall right in your hands.
And in order to add matches, you need to unscrew the lid from the back (in my case it is a red lid) and put a few matches there.
And that's all for me. Thank you all for your attention !!! Good luck to everyone, bye!
