Hello everybody.
I want to talk about the construction of a concrete filling pit in the garage. I focus on the word concrete-filling, there are several types of strengthening of the inspection pit from shedding. This is brickwork, concrete filling, sometimes made of wood, maybe there are more options. In my opinion, concrete is the best option. High-quality formwork comes out of brick expensively, and when laying in half-brick it was unreliable, it was possible to meet the collapse - it simply squeezed the side walls into the pit. A tree in the earth also does not inspire confidence. Concrete, in my opinion, will cope better with reinforcement better than its "competitors".
Tools and materials:
Shovels
Scrap,
Wheelbarrow,
Timber,
Boards
Screws
Screwdriver
Polyethylene,
Cement,
Sand,
Rubble
Fittings,
Concrete mixer.
And so let's get started. We mark the length and width of the future viewing hole, in my case 280 * 80 cm. And add about 20 cm on each side. This is the thickness of the future fill.
Gently dig to the desired depth - about 160 - 170 cm.
After the pit is dug, we prepare bars and boards for future formwork.
We set the vertical bars to the desired width, taking into account the thickness of the formwork boards and install several rows of boards. It is undesirable to install the formwork to the full height immediately, since when pouring concrete it will be necessary to monitor the even distribution of concrete and the exclusion of voids in the pouring.
From the outside, we fix a plastic film on the walls to prevent the absorption of concrete into the ground and begin to pour in the concrete mixture.
In this case, concrete was prepared independently using a concrete mixer in proportion: one part of cement ПЦ-400 Д20, 4 parts of sand, 5 parts of crushed stone of fraction 20-40, water by eye to the desired consistency. Do not forget to reinforce to increase the strength of the structure.
If the place permits, then the pit can be made longer and the descent made in the form of steps, I go down the attached ladder, since the garage is small and I rarely use the pit.
