Who was not enthusiastic about the flight of Dmitry Zhilinsky's LC, the secret of which for a long time enveloped this video?



And this, me, the wing literally hypnotized.
Everything that happened next was under the influence of this “hypnosis”.

First of all, I watched all the videos of the author, took a lot of photos, after which I decided on the size of the wing.





I analyzed all the comments of the author of the LC Dmitry Zhilinsky.
Made a conclusion. There should be nothing superfluous in the model.

The proportion of the wing is much greater than that of the conventional model. At the base, the wing is 5 cm, usually no more than 3 .. This does not affect performance, because the width of the wing (along the chord) at the base is about 40 cm, at the edges 20.. 5 cm thick - determined so that it is easy to hide the whole electronics and battery).

2 wingless wings should weigh about 90 g.
In order for a wing weighing 1000 g to fly, gain height and maneuver - a motor weighing 35 g is enough
Sweep gives us horizontal stability and a "game" with centering.

For installation on flying wings, servos try to take to a class more powerful, so that the elevons are not less than 7 cm, then no thermals are scary.
No engine mowing!

The lower part of the wing should be made flat - only the upper part should be shaped (with such a profile, the flight properties of the wing turn out better.
Sketched a small drawing with dimensions. I plan to use this wing for flights with FPV.

The fuselage has not yet begun to plan.
Began construction.

Cut ribs, pasted.

It turned out a very good profile. The thickness of the wing is 50 mm.

I immediately set the servos in the wings.

Connected extension cords to wires from servos.


Now you can glue two halves of the wing.

The fuselage decided to make an arbitrary shape, only to fit the electronics.






So there was a LC called "Breeze".

While he was building this LK, he made a drawing of a smaller LK, also for flights with FPV.

Before continuing my story, I want to express my gratitude for the help in the construction of an aircraft modeller from Belarus Yuri Geyserov, to whom this model and bears the name "Geyser".

This model, unlike the Breeze model, I made from a substrate under a laminate 5 mm thick.
The model was completely ready for testing. But I took the advice of an aircraft modeller, my good friend Yuri Butenko from the city of Polar, and somewhat changed the design of the fuselage, removing the add-on for the motor.












Installed a camcorder.










Here is the result. I experimented a little with the motor ..
