Today, every self-respecting company or small company considers it their duty to put an aquarium in their office premises. This product has long been very popular and simply enormous demand in the market. After all, an aquarium is not only a hobby, a hobby, an element of decor, but also a means of psychotherapy. The water flowing in this closed little world, living creatures living in it, all this helps to achieve harmony with nature and with oneself. Aquariums are often used to decorate various restaurants, child care facilities, hospitals, etc.
The very first mentions that fish can be kept in artificial conditions are found in the history of the 9th century. BC. In the hanging gardens of Babylon - one of the seven wonders of the world, decorative ponds and containers of burnt clay were equipped in which live fish swam. But it is not yet possible to give a more accurate answer to the question about the first appearance of the aquarium. The creator of the aquarium is the scientist Nathaniel Ward, who was studying the characteristics of plants that feel comfortable with high humidity or even under water. He placed these plants in a glass dish with water. But once, for some reason he knew alone, he placed both a plant and a goldfish in one vessel. It happened in 1829. That is why this scientist is considered the creator of the aquarium.
Today, the market offers a huge selection of diverse aquariums - both decorative and species, of various shapes and volumes. But why buy when you can make your dream aquarium with your own hands ?! This is exactly what the author of the YouTube channel No1 IDEAS did, having personally made an aquarium of an unusual shape from unusual components.
Step 1.
The author took the usual plastic pipe of the required diameter and size as the basis for the aquarium. It cuts a square hole for a transparent element. From the side opposite to the window, a through hole is drilled with the help of a doe and a crown. All sawn edges are carefully cleaned with an emery cloth. A threaded coupling is inserted into the hole.
Step 2
The bottom is cut out. A bottom substrate is cut from the foam foam. It is inserted into the pipe. At the edges of the seam between the substrate and the pipe is carefully sealed with sealant on both sides. The bottom is glued.
After complete drying, Plexiglas is taken and inserted into the window. After fixing, it is glued with aquarium sealant.
Step 3
The author proceeds to the manufacture of a water treatment and aeration system. It is built on the principle of SAMP, i.e. water from the aquarium is pumped through the pump to the water treatment components that are outside the aquarium. The purified water flows back into the aquarium through a system of so-called waterfalls. Everything is assembled from plastic pipes, corners and tees. All parts are fastened together by aquarium sealant. The result is a design resembling a pyramid. In the lower tee, holes are made to drain the water into the aquarium, into which small pieces of silicone hose are inserted. A hose for the pump is passed through the connecting sleeve to the resulting part, which goes out at the very top of the filtering pyramid.
Step 4
Further, for the author to work, small plastic containers were required in which filtration elements would be laid. These containers are attached at the ends of the filter pyramid. A hole is made in each cup in such a way that when draining from one cup, water flows immediately to another, from the very top to the aquarium, passing through all cleaning fillers. In order for the water to fall into the downstream bowl, the author makes guides from pieces of a silicone hose. Without them, the liquid will simply spill over the walls of the tanks past the aquarium. The hose coming from the pump is discharged into the uppermost bowl, like a fountain. The pump is connected.
So that she is not visible and she does not spoil the internal appearance of the aquarium, it is decorated with stones, completely hiding under them. Fillers are placed in the bowls to filter the water, passing through which it will be cleaned of food residues and waste products. The entire filtering pyramid is decorated with artificial plants. Water is poured into the aquarium and fish are launched.
This is the result of the aquarium. A very interesting idea that was expertly brought to life. As you can see from the photos above - the design is quite working. Such an aquarium will decorate any interior. Of course, it is not recommended to keep large fish there, but a couple of small ones will feel quite comfortable!
