Surely most of you love outdoor recreation, but often there is a need to sit down on something.
In this article, the creator of YouTube channel “Creates DIY” will tell you how to make a simple portable folding chair that weighs very little, while even a couple of dozen such chairs can easily be placed in the car trunk.

Manufacturing process.
So, to begin with, the master cut out two sheets of plywood with dimensions of 620x400 mm. He needed this because of the lack of plywood of sufficient thickness.
Then he needs to glue these two sheets together, and tighten them with clamps.
After the glue dries, all the ends of the workpiece are ground with an orbital machine.
Then the master drew a drawing of the elements of the chair, and drilled holes for the entrance of the jigsaw blade.
Having pressed the workpiece to the workbench with a clamp, it cuts out the elements with an electric jigsaw.
Further, all places of cutting are sanded with sandpaper.
To simplify the process of grinding the ends, the author uses a flap grinding nozzle for a screwdriver. By the way, she’s home-made, and you can make one yourself by reading this article.
In the next step, all edges are milled using a radius cutter with a thrust bearing.
Now you need to drill holes for the axles.
Then all parts are covered with a layer of stain. You can also additionally apply a couple of layers of varnish.
The author decided to make the axes out of ordinary nails. He tries them on to the product, and cuts them to the required length.
The axles clog into place, and are recessed by 20 mm.
To fix the axes in place, and close the holes, dowels are driven into them. Excesses are cut flush with a hacksaw.
Early the author painted the product.He forgot to make recesses, in which the protrusions of one of the sections will rest, and fix the chair in the open position. Marks them, and hollows out with a chisel.
Although these grooves will be located on the underside of the chair, the master paints them with a stain and wipes them with rags.
That's all. It looks like a chair in a folded position.
And in the trunk of it almost imperceptibly! At least 20 pieces can be downloaded.
Finally, the author demonstrates full-scale tests of his product on a sandy beach. It is very light, and opens in a few seconds.
