The peculiarity of the bedside table is that at first glance it seems that it was made of shaped pipes, but only wood was used on the tree itself. In addition, it is interesting homemade by the fact that the author has integrated a module for contactless charging of the phone in the nightstand. The process of making bedside tables:
Step one. Material preparation
To assemble the bedside tables you will need wood slabs, their author makes himself from boards. Of course, all boards should be the same thickness and should have perfectly even edges. We select the boards and arm ourselves with a manual mill; we need to cut the grooves under the spikes, due to which the boards will be connected. Well, then we use carpentry glue, we carefully tighten everything with elastic bands or clamps and dry it.
Maple, oak and other wood species with a beautiful texture and high strength are well suited as wood.
Step Two Housing
Next, we cut the materials for the assembly of the cabinet, in which the box will be inserted. For work, we need a circular saw, in a circle of parts we need to cut the spikes, which will then be installed spikes to simulate iron pipes.
In the topmost wood panel we have to build in a module for wireless charging, in this case we will be helped by a manual milling cutter. We cut a niche under the module, as well as under the cable, so that it can be quietly laid.
Housing parts are interconnected using furniture dowels and wood glue.
Step Three Frame
We assemble the frame for the bedside table, according to the author’s idea, there should be an imitation for profile pipes. As material, we need bars of the same thickness, the author cut them with a miter saw. To fasten the bars to the cabinet, grooves are cut into them, and the bars are fastened together with furniture dowels and wood glue.
The author paints the bars with a stain in black, at first glance everything looks like metal. When everything is ready, the bedside table can be assembled.
Step Four Box
The bedside table is almost ready, it remains only to make a box, it can be made of wood board or plywood. For reliable bonding, the author decided to use a spike connection. We attach the front board to the box and install a stylish pen.
At the end, the wood can be coated with oil, varnish or wax for wood. After polishing, the wood will look very beautiful.
That's all, now the bedside table is completely ready, you can turn on the charging module in the network and start the tests. The phone is charged if you put the phone on the edge of the nightstand, where the contactless charging module is installed.
