DIY portable electrode organizer

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Many of you are engaged in welding work, and know how it is inconvenient to store electrodes.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel “Workshop Diy” will tell you how to make a simple organizer for six different types of electrodes.

Materials
- PVC pipes, plugs
- Old cutting diamond blade
- Bolts, washers, nuts
- Second glue.

Instruments, used by the author.
-, cutting disc
—
—
- Marker, knife, file.

Manufacturing process.
So, after the repair usually remains a large number of scraps of various sewer pipes, plugs and adapters. But you can always make useful things out of them. You will also need an old diamond blade, although it can be replaced with another part.

From the sewer 120-mm pipe, the author cut off just such a section, and cleaned its edges.

Now you need to cut the workpiece along.

Lubricates the plug with second glue, and connects it to the pipe using the resulting workpiece. This will be a fixed part of the organizer.

In the second plug, the author drills a hole in its center.

The disk is fixed on the cap so that it has the ability to rotate, but with little effort.

One connecting ring is cut from the adapter, and the manufactured part is inserted into it.

Now the author must place three thin pipes inside the case. But they are badly crumpled, and do not fit into it.

The solution was found quickly. Using the 120th channel, and heating the pipes, they can be deformed to an oval shape.

Now the pipes fit tightly into the body. A previously trimmed adapter is worn on the edge of the case. Three holes are drilled in the plug, having the same diameter as the holes in the disk.

Using self-tapping screws, a simple plastic handle is attached to the body. The organizer is ready.

It remains to insert electrodes into the tubes. You can also put three more types of electrodes in the space between the tubes. It will only be necessary to drill three more holes in the lid.

Then close the lid and fix it with a self-tapping screw.

All is ready. A simple rotation of the disk opens the desired holes, and through them electrodes pour out like toothpicks from a jar. Thin single tubes for storing electrodes can be made in the same simple way. With this storage method, the probability of damping of the electrodes is much less.

I thank the author for the simple but useful device for the welder!

All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

And how to pull other electrodes through one hole? It is necessary to make 6 holes with offset. smoke
probably it would be better to make one hole, and on the case to indicate which de electrodes and crank ...
superfluous will not pop up ...
