In this article, Alexander, the author of the YouTube channel "master", will tell you about the unusual, but very durable design of the corner seat.
He made this home-made especially for his small bath. But the very idea of this design is suitable for other rooms.

Manufacturing process.
So, for the seat itself, the master made such a shield from pine boards.
Now he will deal with the frame for sitting. It will require a steel angle of 100X100 mm. He cuts three blanks according to their individual sizes, and cleans their surfaces with a grinder with a brush.
The ends of the two corners are cut at an angle of 45 degrees, and welded together. The weld is treated with a stripping flap disc.
A vertical support is welded to the resulting corner.
The junction of the support and horizontal rails is reinforced by triangular parts.
The author did not find a steel strip, and he was forced to cut the channel into strips. From such a strip he made a transverse stiffener.
All sharp corners at the ends of the frame are rounded off and polished.
Further, the author drilled and countersunk holes for mounting screws.
Once again I cleaned all the surfaces, and covered with “copper metallic” several layers of spray paint.
The frame itself is attached with screws to the walls of the bath.
He puts the shield in its place, marks out the necessary radius, and cuts off the excess with an electric jigsaw.
All edges of the seat are machined with various radius cutters with a thrust bearing.
The surface is polished with a machine.
Now the seat is covered with several layers of yacht varnish.
That's all, the seat is screwed to the frame with wood screws. Pilot holes are pre-drilled in the array. This will prevent cracking.
A little test of the finished seat. With the author’s weight of 120 kilograms, there’s not even a hint of unreliability!
Here is such an unpretentious sitting happened with Alexander. Its frame is practically invisible, and does not strike the eye.
I thank the author for the simple but reliable idea of the corner seat!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
