Multifunctional circular saw carriage

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Some of you have a circular saw at your disposal, but it requires a lot of different devices that ensure safety and the ease of performing standard actions.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel “Mokong 목공 TV” will tell you how he made a simple carriage that significantly expands the capabilities of this machine.

This homemade product is very easy to manufacture, and very useful in practice.
Materials
- sheet plywood
- Boards
- Wood screws
- T-track
- PVA glue.

Instruments, used by the author.
—  T-Track Clips
—  A circular saw
—  Orbital sander
—  Battery Neiler
—  Bulgariancutting disc
—  Clamps
—  Screwdriver
—  Countersink drill
- Marking planer
- Awl, square, ruler, file.

Manufacturing process.
First of all, the master cuts the base for the carriage from sheet plywood.

Then he cuts the bar according to the dimensions of the guide in the table of the circular saw.

The surface of the rail is polished by an orbital machine.

The rail should move freely along the guide, and practically have no backlash.

Now it should be noted the place for fixing the rails with the help of marking planers. It is important to leave a small margin on the base, its edge will later be aligned.

The rail is glued to the bottom of the base of the carriage, and is additionally fixed by a neiler. Excess glue is removed with a rag.

After the glue dries, the carriage is installed in the guide, and the control alignment of the edge of the carriage is made.

Then the master notes the required length of the T-track.

Cuts the strip of the desired length, and processes the sharp edges of the file with a file.

At the end of the carriage, marking is applied for the edge of the groove under the T-track.

The saw blade is set in height to the thickness of the T-track, and a groove is made in the upper part of the carriage in several passes. Of course, you can use adjustable saw blade DADO disk, but not all have it.

The T-track strap very accurately fell into place, but it must be fixed to the carriage.

Holes for fixing screws are drilled in the bar using a drill with a countersink.

Then the strap is screwed to the carriage with screws.

The carriage is ready, it remains to be installed in the T-track special clamps. You can install several of them, depending on your tasks. Their cost is not very high, but it is also possible to make them yourself, having read the recent article. In it, the master spoke in detail about the technique of manufacturing these devices from hard wood.

Also, for better sliding of the carriage along the table surface, it is worth lubricating its lower part with ordinary aerosol silicone grease.

So, you can experience new device, the first test will be a bevel on a plywood sheet.

The second test is a diagonal double-sided bevel on the workpieces.

As a result, using this simple device, you can cut blanks at various angles.
I thank the author for a simple but useful tool for a circular saw!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

missing thumbs on the hand

With such talents, the belly must also be broken!
Yes, a really useful tool that improves the quality of work performed.
And also increases safety when working on a circular. I have 2 friends, I recently saw one, so they don’t have thumbs on their hands. If they had a similar carriage, maybe their fingers would be intact.
