DIY outline template

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Perhaps you already had to transfer the curly contours of various objects to other blanks in order to cut the corresponding recess into them.

In this article, the author of the Wood Products YouTube channel will tell you how easy it is to make a special conductor that will facilitate this task.

This homemade product is very easy to manufacture, and can be repeated inhome conditions.

Materials
- sheet plywood
- Counting sticks
- Wood screws.

Instruments, used by the author.
—  Screwdriver, drill bits
- Hacksaw
- Ruler, pencil.

Manufacturing process.
So, here are all the details that will be required.

Between two long strips of plywood, you need to insert a pair of spacers with a thickness equal to the width of the plastic counting sticks. First you need to fix a small spacer with a self-tapping screw.

Next, the wizard sets all the sticks in the groove.

The second tab sticks tightly pressed together, and the handle is twisted with two screws.

Everything is ready, you can easily copy the outline, for example, countertops.

Now the contour can be transferred to the workpiece.

It remains to cut the workpiece according to the markup, and it ideally falls into place.

I thank the author for the simple but useful device for home and workshop!

If you have interesting homemade products, share them on this site. Here you will get a real reward, not a “bunch of green stuff" at the entertainment forum.

Guys, it's even easier. Grease both side strips evenly with silicone sealant. Then nobody will slip anywhere. drinks
About rubber strips also thought. Erasers or springs, or both.

How do you like my idea?
Glue thin rubber strips along the entire length of the strips. smile
You can put 2 springs of the desired length between the upper bar and the heads of the screws. Putting washers on them. Then the sticks will not fall out when carrying and tilting the structure. At the same time, this will not interfere with the removal of the circuit. How do you like my idea?

He squeezed them from two sides
If you squeeze it hard, the tool will stop working, well, or the sticks will “cling” to the neighboring ones. If weaken the compression, the sticks will crumble, you need adjustable compression. I just customized a piece of corrugated cardboard, gradually cutting where necessary. But it only took me once.

And if you shake this design, the sticks will not sprinkle? scratch
