I welcome all fans to craft, I propose to consider instructions for making a compact cigarette case in style steampunk do it yourself. Homemade made of copper and brass, the main material for the body is a copper tube. In the assembly, the homemade product is not complicated, but everything looks quite interesting. Such a cigarette case takes up little space in your pocket, 8 cigarettes are placed inside, everything will already depend on the diameter of the tube. The cigarette case is equipped with a convenient and reliable lid on the thread, and on the other hand, the author even inserted glass as a decor. Materials and tools used by the author:

Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Cut out the details for the exterior
On top of the pipe is decorated with details that the author cut out of sheet brass. To start, we make drawings on paper, cut out and glue the patterns to a brass sheet. The author cut out the details with a hand jigsaw. To cut it was more convenient, the author made a special base from a piece of chipboard, cutting a triangle in it.
At the end, the details will be finalized with a file.
Step Two Neck
We make part of the neck through which we will get cigarettes. It is necessary to cut a circle of brass and install a brass screw in the center. Further, the author brought the circle to perfect shape with a drill and file.
Solder the manufactured part to the tube together with a screw. We lubricate everything with flux, throw solder inside and warm the parts with a gas burner. At the end, we arm ourselves with a file, drill a hole and bore a hole, from the author it resembles a crescent.
At the end of the step, the author clamped the axle in the drill and carefully polished the case with fine sandpaper.
Step ThreePlate finish
Sheet metal parts made earlier must be bent. The author easily bends parts using two pieces of steel pipe cut along. Next, we use flux, we tack on the soldered surfaces and then fix the details on the body with a copper wire. That's all, we heat the case with a burner and make sure that all the parts are soldered well.
As soon as everything is well soldered, we arm ourselves with a drill and cut through the viewing windows. In the end, the author finishes them manually with the help of files.
Step Four Decorative grill
We mount a decorative lattice, here the author needed a copper wire. We bend the wire onto the parts in the form of the letter “P”, drill holes in the body and insert the parts, bend the ends from the inside. When the grill is assembled, we solder all the attachment points well.
After soldering, we arm ourselves with suitable pliers, break off the ends of the wire inside. That's all, now it remains to align everything from the inside with a drill, the author uses a brush nozzle made of sandpaper. As a result, the inside of the case is perfectly smooth and shiny.
Step Five Cleaning
The finished product must be properly cleaned of flux residues and other contaminants. The author places the product in a chemical reagent, and brass is instantly oxidized, thereby removing various impurities. In the end, it remains to wash the product well and clean it.
Step Six Cap
The author turned the lid out of brass, if there is no lathe, such a product can be made using a drill. There is a threaded hole inside the lid; as a result, it is wound on a cigarette case.
Seventh step. Viewing window and finale
In the back of the cigarette case, the author installed glass. You will need a copper plug, in it we cut a hole under the glass. The round glass itself can be drilled with a drill using a glass crown. The author decided to glue the glass onto a quick-drying epoxy. We also glue the finished part with glass to the body.
That's all, the cigarette case is ready, the author carefully polished it with a drill. The homemade look looks gorgeous, you will never be left without attention of friends and girlfriends with such a cigarette case.
