Homemade made in the form of an unusual cartridge, everything is decorated in style steampunk. The design of the pen is quite simple, there is a locking lever on the outside, and the writing ampoule inside is spring-loaded, with the help of the lever the ampoule is fixed in the extended or retracted state. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Housing
A brass tube is used as a body for the handle. The thickness of the tube must be such that a thread can be cut inside. The thread is cut on a lathe, it should be on both sides of the tube, the internal thread.
Step Two Tip
We make the tip for the handle, and the tip is the bullet according to the idea. We need to grind two blanks, one of brass, and one of copper. On a brass billet we cut the thread, it will be wrapped in a tube. A hole for a writing ampoule passes along the copper and brass billet.
As a result, two workpieces need to be soldered and processed on a lathe, we sharpen the tip under the "bullet".
Step Three Rear end
The back of the handle is made of brass, it is also necessary to cut the thread on it, the part will be wrapped in a tube. Do not forget to grind the seat under the capsule. Auto drills rows of holes along the product, inserts brass bars there and then solders everything.
To simulate the capsule, you can use a thick copper wire, rod, and so on. At the end, the product is amenable to turning.
Step Four Handle lock
We make a latch that will allow us to fix the pen on the notebook and so on. The author carved it with a hand brass jigsaw. Further, the part was soldered to a tube or round brass, and the author turned the product on a lathe. What ultimately came of this can be seen in the photo.
Step Five Ampoule clamp
We grind the part that will be inside the handle, the ampoule will rest on it. The product is made from round brass or similar material. We drill a hole on the side and cut the thread under the retainer, we grind the fixing screw on a lathe.
In the case we drill a hole and bore it in shape in the form of the letter "G". The lever will go into the niche, thereby fixing the ampoule in the extended state.
Step Six Polishing and assembly
We assemble the case, clamp it into the chuck of a lathe or drill, so you can quickly and accurately polish the product.
After polishing, the homemade product can be assembled, shorten the ampoule if necessary, insert the spring and wind the parts onto the case. The pen is ready, it is simple, reliable, looks great, however, it is heavy and your hand may get tired from long writing.
