Veneer cladding of wooden products

Types of marriage during lining: penetration of glue through the veneer, cracks on the front side of the veneer, partial or complete lag of the veneer.
Seepage occurs when glue is too thin. Cracks form when the veneer humidity is more than 8%. Lagging, bloating are formed when grease stains are used or if very liquid glue is used.

Polishing of wooden products is carried out with an alcohol varnish. It is applied to the surface using a wool swab (or cotton swab). Polishing is carried out in four stages. First, the first polishing is done with light movements from left to right and back. In the second polishing, the movements are zigzag, with a return in a circular motion. The third polishing - by eights, the fourth - by big eights along and across.

When applying polish with a swab, drying takes place very quickly, it can be polished continuously.
For priming, 10% varnish is used, the second and third stages - 8%, the fourth - 5-7%. Between polishing operations stand 3-5 days.
For better glide tampon, you can add 2-3 drops of petroleum jelly, linseed or sunflower oil.
Before polishing, the product must be well sanded and sanded, wiped and allowed to dry. Then cover with alcohol varnish for 3-6 times with a brush.
