Good day to all the residents of our sites. Each of us uses a mobile phone, but the charge of one battery is not always enough for a long time. I decided to tackle this problem, a box was invented for charging a second battery without using a phone. The idea was pretty quick, as many Chinese manufacturers make similar chargers.
In this article I will tell you how to do, independent of the phone, charging for a second battery.
To create a charge, we need:
• Tablet
• Hot glue
• Contacts under the battery from an unnecessary or long out of order telephone.
• USB cable, we only need its large side with a wire and usb 2.0 plug
• Sandpaper of different grain sizes.
• The jigsaw is manual.
• Soldering iron and accessories, like tin and rosin.
The first step is to find the material, in my case a wooden board was used, as it is easily adjusted to the size and is also simply processed.
I sawed a square from a piece of the plank, about 5 mm larger on three sides than the battery, and left 1 cm on the damn side for better convenience and structural strength. Now you need to replace the contacts for connecting the battery, I borrowed them from an old phone that had long been broken.
But before you establish these contacts, you need to solder the wires to them. We look at the battery, it shows where plus and minus. So to the positive contact we solder the red wire from the USB cable, and its black wire to the minus, in other cables it is simply not isolated. Now we put our entire structure on hot glue so that the charging contacts coincide with the contacts on the battery. After that, you can assemble the case itself. From the remaining pieces of the board, we cut out sticks with a 5 mm wide jigsaw. We do three sides in the same way.
After cutting, we grind each with sandpaper. First, we take coarse grain, and after the irregularities are removed, we turn to fine grain, at the end we grind with null.
The lower part will be shorter and the upper wider, as I said 1 cm wide. On the side 1 cm wide, you need to cut a recess under the contacts with a jigsaw, as in the photo.
All parts can be attached, abundantly smeared with hot glue, we plant our sticks, before they are glued, they need to be sanded. We give the glue to cool and after that you can immediately check the operation, put the dead battery in our box, connect the USB cable and after half an hour it is already 100% charged.
Charging time depends on the power of the power supply, as well as the capacity of the battery. According to calculations, the charge can be calculated, for example, with a 1000 mah power supply, a 2000 mah battery will charge for two hours. The charge is ready for this, with it you can go on long trips, knowing that in addition you have another hundred percent battery, which will also help out in difficult times.
